📢 Short Information : Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has issued an official notification (Advt No. 11/2026) for the recruitment of Company Commander in Bihar Home Guard for 65 posts. Candidates enrolled and trained as Home Guards in Bihar with a minimum of 5 years of service can apply online from 10 September 2026 to 10 October 2026.

Educational Qualification & Service Condition

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed a Bachelor's Degree (Graduation) in any stream from a recognized University in India as on 01/08/2026.

Service Criteria: Candidates must be enrolled and trained Home Guards in Bihar with at least 5 years of completed service as on 01/08/2026.

Selection Process

• Phase 1: Preliminary Written Examination.
• Phase 2: Main Written Examination.
• Phase 3: Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
• Phase 4: Document Verification (DV)
• Phase 5: Medical Examination

Exam Pattern & Syllabus

1. Preliminary Exam :

• Total Questions: 100 Questions | Total Marks: 200 Marks
• Duration: 2 Hours (120 Minutes)
• Subjects: General Knowledge & Current Affairs.
• Qualifying Marks: Minimum 30% marks required to qualify for Mains.
• Negative Marking: 0.2 marks deducted for each wrong answer.

2. Mains Exam :

• Paper I (General Hindi): 100 Questions | 200 Marks | Duration: 2 Hours (Qualifying nature, min 30% required).
• Paper II (General Studies, General Science, Civics, Indian History, Geography, Mathematics & Mental Ability): 100 Questions | 200 Marks | Duration: 2 Hours (Merit list prepared on the basis of Paper-II marks).
• Negative Marking: 0.2 marks deducted for each wrong answer in both papers.

• Race (Male): 1.6 Km in 6 Minutes 30 Seconds | Female: 1 Km in 6 Minutes
• High Jump (Male): Min 4 Feet | Female: Min 3 Feet
• Long Jump (Male): Min 12 Feet | Female: Min 9 Feet
• Gola Fek (Male): 16 Pound (16 Feet) | Female: 12 Pound (10 Feet)
