Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for
Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2026.
A total of 1871 vacancies are available under Delhi Police, CAPFs and CISF SI Fire.
Eligible candidates can submit their online application from 10 September 2026 to 30 September 2026.

- SI in Delhi Police / SI GD in CAPFs: 20-25 Years
- SI Fire in CISF: 18-30 Years
- Age will be calculated as on 01/08/2026.
- SC/ST candidates will get age relaxation as per rules.
- OBC candidates will get age relaxation as per rules.

Educational Qualification
For Delhi Police SI & CAPF SI GD:
Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.
Candidates appearing in the Bachelor's Degree final year may apply, provided they possess the required qualification on or before 30 September 2026.
For CISF SI Fire:
Bachelor's Degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or equivalent qualification, or the prescribed technical diploma qualification as mentioned in the official notification.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.
Candidates appearing in the Bachelor's Degree final year may apply, provided they possess the required qualification on or before 30 September 2026.
For CISF SI Fire:
Bachelor's Degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or equivalent qualification, or the prescribed technical diploma qualification as mentioned in the official notification.

Sub-Inspector posts are placed in Pay Level-6 as per the official SSC notification.

Post Specific Requirement
Delhi Police SI Male:
A valid Driving Licence for Motorcycle and Car is required on the date fixed for PE&MT.
Male candidates without the required valid LMV driving licence can still be eligible for SI posts in CAPFs, subject to fulfilment of other eligibility conditions.
CAPF Posting:
Selected candidates for CAPFs are liable to serve anywhere in India.
A valid Driving Licence for Motorcycle and Car is required on the date fixed for PE&MT.
Male candidates without the required valid LMV driving licence can still be eligible for SI posts in CAPFs, subject to fulfilment of other eligibility conditions.

NCC Bonus Marks
- NCC Certificate C: 5% of maximum marks in each paper
- NCC Certificate B: 3% of maximum marks in each paper
- NCC Certificate A: 2% of maximum marks in each paper
