📢 Short Information : Railway Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW), Chittaranjan has invited applications from eligible Indian Sportspersons for recruitment against Sports Quota for the year 2026-2027. A total of 25 vacancies are available under Open Advertisement and Talent Scouting Quota. Applications are to be submitted in the prescribed format through offline/postal mode.

Age Limit

Sports Eligibility / Achievement Norms

Level-5/4 GP ₹2800 / ₹2400	Represented the Country in Olympic Games (Senior Category / Category-A) OR secured at least 3rd position in any Category-B Championship/Event.
Level-2 GP ₹1900	Represented the country in any Category-B Championship/Event OR at least 3rd position in Category-C Championship/Event OR at least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships OR at least 3rd position in National Games under IOA OR at least 3rd position in All India Inter University Championship under AIU OR 1st position in Federation Cup Championship (Senior Category).
Level-1 GP ₹1800	Represented the Country in any Category-C Championship/Event OR at least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championship (Senior Category) OR represented a State/equivalent Unit with at least 8th position in Senior National Championships, except Marathon and Cross Country.

Sports Achievement Period: Sports achievements on or after 01/04/2024 will only be considered for eligibility and selection purposes.

Educational Qualification

Level-2 GP ₹1900	Higher Secondary (12th) / 10+2 or equivalent examination. OR Matriculation from recognized Board plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship. OR Matriculation plus Diploma approved by a recognized Institution.
Level-1 GP ₹1800	Secondary (10th) or equivalent examination OR ITI OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Typing Requirement: Candidates appointed to Junior/Senior Clerk-cum-Typist are required to qualify the typing proficiency test of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi within four years from the date of appointment.

Talent Scouting Quota

Candidates who have represented the country in Olympics or relevant Category-B Championships, or secured at least 3rd position in relevant Category-B Championship within the last 6 months from the notification date, may be considered under Talent Scouting Quota, without trials wherever applicable and with relaxation of educational qualification wherever applicable as per rules.

Only 3 candidates, in order of overall merit and not necessarily from a particular discipline, will be considered under this provision.

Important Sports Notes

• Archery achievements/certificates issued by recognized National/ International Sports Bodies and Railway Sports Promotion Board will be considered.
• Badminton candidates may also be considered on the basis of current Annual All India Ranking, subject to the ranking criteria prescribed in the notification.
• Basketball: Basketball Federation of India is the recognized National Sports Federation mentioned in the notification.
• Football: Mandatory Under-21 quota condition in Santosh Trophy has been excluded.
• Golf: Candidates having IGU ranking 1-20 with single handicap below 10 may also be eligible, subject to the prescribed conditions.
• Rifle Shooting: Only individual performance in recognized championships mentioned in the notification will be considered.
• All championships must be conducted under the aegis of recognized International/National/State Sports Federation and recognized by RSPB.

How to Apply

1. Download the prescribed application format and relevant annexures.
2. Fill all required columns carefully in your own handwriting using blue/black ball point pen.
3. Write the prescribed declaration in your own handwriting in the application form.
4. Affix one recent colour passport-size photograph with white background.
5. Enclose the required photographs, educational certificates, age proof, caste/category certificate and sports achievement certificates.
6. Attach the prescribed application fee through IPO/DD, wherever applicable.
7. Clearly mention the specific category number, sports discipline and event/position.
8. Send the completed application through post so that it reaches the prescribed address within the closing date and time.
